Site Identity
Your site identity is a combination of your logotype, the fonts that you use, your typesetting, and the visual material that accompanies the typography. This visual material is made out of shapes, colors, images, vectors and videos.
All of these elements should be working together, either by setting up

harmonies in which the elements have shape similarities, work around analogic color schemes, carry similar font weights, equal sizes of things, etc...

or as contrasts in which .
But before we even get to these, the spatial relationships and the design grid within which all of these elements will converge; in other words your structure, also constitutes a major part of your site identity.
STRUCTURE
This is the all important base element of a website that determines the visual framework upon which it is built. I have made a whole separate page where I talk about and show examples of the 4 basic types of structures that I identify: The grid, of which I give two examples, the horizontal setup, and the vertical setup, of both of which I give an example each. Although we cannot build responsive websites with the default Wix Editor (they do have a second editor called EditorX that does lets you to do that), nevertheless Wix does have a feature that allows for the building of full width website, namely the strip columns. Some very good results can be achieved in this way, and again, I have made a special page >>> covering this feature more closely, where I also show examples that you should look at as well.
Moodboards
While bringing together all the different design components is a lot of fun - in a way it is a bit like putting together a fancy outfit for a party or decorating a room - it can also prove to be daunting, especially if you are doing something like this for the very first time.
A very good way of overcoming the confusions and indecisions that will be quite inevitable, even for experienced designers, is to make a moodboard, such as what I m showing you above and below.
